The Saugus Sachems will head out on the road to take on the Salem Witches at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Saugus is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.8 runs per game this season.

Saugus fell victim to Gloucester and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They fell just short of the Fishermen by a score of 1-0. The matchup marked the first time this year in which the Sachems were not able to get on the board.

Meanwhile, Salem came up short against Marblehead on Monday and fell 4-1. The Witches haven't had much luck with the Magicians recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Salem saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Shea Christel, who went 3-for-4 with one double. That double was Christel's first of the season.

Saugus' loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 3-2. As for Salem, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-3.

Saugus came out on top in a nail-biter against Salem in their previous meeting back in May of 2024, sneaking past 4-3. Do the Sachems have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Witches turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
