Basketball Game Preview: St. Maries Lumberjacks vs. Sandpoint Bulldogs

The St. Maries Lumberjacks will venture away from home to take on the Sandpoint Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Last Tuesday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, St. Maries beat Kellogg 47-41. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Lumberjacks.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Sandpoint, who bounced back after a loss on the road two weeks ago. Everything went their way against Moscow last Tuesday as Sandpoint made off with a 62-42 win.

Sandpoint has also been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a massive bump to their 6-8 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.0 points per game. As for St. Maries, they now have a winning record of 8-7.

St. Maries might still be hurting after the 58-38 loss they got from Sandpoint in their previous meeting back in January. Can St. Maries avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
