Softball Recap: Elmore County Comes Up Short

After soaring to 13 runs the game before, Elmore County was a bit more limited in their match on Friday. They lost 9-2 to the Lee-Scott Academy Warriors. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Panthers have suffered since March 21, 2024.

Elmore County saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Addy Peaden, who scored a run while going 2-for-2. Kayden Edwards was another, going 1-for-2 with two RBI and one double.

The defeat snapped Elmore County's winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 15-11 record. As for Lee-Scott Academy, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 16-9-1 record this season.

Elmore County has already played their next game, a 13-2 victory against Glenwood on the 12th. As for Lee-Scott Academy, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 4-3 loss against Wetumpka on the 12th.
