Preview: Skyview Wolverines vs. Thornton Trojans
Skyview is 6-1 against Thornton since January of 2017, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Thursday. The Skyview Wolverines will be playing at home against the Thornton Trojans at 7:00 p.m. Skyview will be looking to keep their five-game home win streak alive.
Skyview put the finishing touches on their 12th blowout victory of the season on Tuesday. They really took it to Gateway for the full four quarters, racking up a 59-13 win on the road. With Skyview ahead 37-6 at the half, the match was all but over already.
Skyview's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jada Kemm, who scored 12 points along with five rebounds and two steals. Yzabella Tafoya was another key contributor, scoring 14 points.
Meanwhile, Thornton didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Aurora Central on Tuesday, but they still walked away with a 44-39 victory. The win made it back-to-back wins for Thornton.
Skyview is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 16-4 record this season. As for Thornton, their win bumped their record up to 9-10.
Everything came up roses for Skyview against Thornton in their previous meeting back in January as the team secured a 72-25 win. With Skyview ahead 42-20 at the half, the game was all but over already.
