Rising Sun has won six straight games at home, while East Central has won six straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Thursday. The Shiners will host the Trojans at 6:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
On Wednesday, Rising Sun made easy work of Jac-Cen-Del and carried off a 14-5 victory.
J'Lynn Rodriguez made a big impact no matter where she played. She pitched five innings while giving up just two earned (and three unearned) runs off four hits. Rodriguez was also solid in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with three runs. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April.

In other batting news, Mataya Walker was a standout: she went 3-for-4 with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Those three runs gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Tamryn Miller, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with two doubles and two RBI.
Rising Sun was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .545. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .308 or higher in 12 consecutive games.
Meanwhile, East Central gave up the first runs on Tuesday, but they didn't let that get them down. They put the hurt on Franklin County with a sharp 16-4 win. The Trojans haven't had any issues with the Wildcats recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.
Rose Yunger spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned runs on seven hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Broegan Knuz, who went 4-for-5 with one home run, five RBI, and three runs. That home run was her first of the season. Chloe Feldmann was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs and one RBI.
Rising Sun's win bumped their record up to 16-3. As for East Central, their victory bumped their record up to 16-6.
Thursday's match might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Rising Sun has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .497. However, it's not like East Central struggles in that department as they've averaged .435. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
