Girard proved they can win big on Thursday (they won by ten) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 6-4 victory over the Chaney Cowboys. The win was nothing new for the Indians as they're now sitting on five straight.

Girard saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ja'Den Royal, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. Zach Ward was another, earning one run and two stolen bases.

Girard's victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-3. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.8 runs over those games. As for Chaney, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-5.

Coming up, Girard will head out on the road to square off against Carter at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Chaney, they will welcome McKinley at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
