Recap: Lawrence County Red Devils vs. Cold Springs Eagles
The Lawrence County Red Devils's 16-8 record from last season is now well into the rear view mirror after another tough outing. They were outmatched by Cold Springs on the road and fell 58-29. Lawrence County has struggled against Cold Springs recently, as their game on Wednesday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Despite the loss, Lawrence County had strong showings from Ava Boyll, who dropped a double-double on 10 points and 11 rebounds, and Kylie Graham, who scored 7 points along with 8 rebounds. Boyll is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season.
Cold Springs got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Ella Dickerson out in front who scored 17 points. That makes it six consecutive games in which Dickerson has scored at least 25% of Cold Springs' points. The team also got some help courtesy of Maci Brown, who scored 10 points along with 7 rebounds and 6 assists.
Lawrence County now has a losing record at 1-2. As for Cold Springs, the win for they keeps them at an undefeated 8-0.
Lawrence County will be staying on the road on Monday to face off against Lexington at 5:45 p.m. on November 27th. As for Cold Springs, they will be playing in front of their home fans against West Point at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. West Point is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
