Basketball Recap: Rooted School Takes a Loss

After soaring to 62 points the game before, Rooted School was a bit more limited in their game on Wednesday. They had to suffer through a 85-22 loss at the hands of the Indianapolis Metropolitan Pumas. While losing is never fun, the Royals can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 411th, while the Pumas are ranked 102nd).

Leo Petty had an outrageously good game for Indianapolis Metropolitan as he went 7 of 8 on his way to 14 points and three steals. Petty has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times he's played. Jaedyn Robinson was another key player, putting up eight points and six steals.

Rooted School's defeat dropped their record down to 7-7. As for Indianapolis Metropolitan, they pushed their record up to 13-5 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season.

Rooted School will head out on the road to take on Indiana Christian Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Indiana Christian Academy will roll in looking for their 19th straight victory, something Rooted School surely won't give up without a fight. As for Indianapolis Metropolitan, they will be playing at home against Greenwood Christian Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Indianapolis Metropolitan is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 61.9 points per game this season.
