Basketball Recap: Thomas Edison Energy Charter Takes a Loss

Thomas Edison Energy Charter was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They received a blow as they fell 56-41 to Central Jersey College Prep.

Central Jersey College Prep found their leader in sophomore Carter Staton, who went 10 of 17 en route to 22 points and seven steals. Another player making a difference was Javan Edmunds, who posted seven points and five boards.

Thomas Edison Energy Charter's loss dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Central Jersey College Prep, with the victory, they broke their five-game losing streak and moved their record to 7-10.

Thomas Edison Energy Charter will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Central Jersey College Prep at 5:30 p.m. on February 18th.
