Softball Recap: Mansfield Takes a Loss

After flying high against Boswell last Tuesday, Mansfield came back down to earth. The Mansfield Tigers fell 8-5 to the Lake Ridge Eagles on Friday. The Tigers were not able to make up for their defeat to the Eagles from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.

Mansfield has also been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last nine matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-8 record this season. The victory got Lake Ridge back to even at 6-6.

Coming up, Mansfield will square off against Crowley at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Crowley has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 10.67 runs per game on average), something Mansfield will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Lake Ridge, they will face off against North Crowley at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. North Crowley has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed ten runs per game on average), something Lake Ridge will no doubt try to take advantage of.
