After a string of 14 wins, Gilbert's good fortune finally ran out on Wednesday. They came up short against the Crest Chargers, falling 6-0. The match marked the first time this season in which the Indians were not able to get on the board.

Gilbert's defeat dropped their record down to 16-2. As for Crest, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 17-2.

Looking ahead, Gilbert will be taking part in a tournament against Midlakes at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday. The Indians are facing the Screaming Eagles at the right time seeing as the Screaming Eagles are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Crest, they will head out on the road to take on Kings Mountain at 6:00 p.m. on the 24th. The Chargers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Mountaineers have averaged an impressive 9.4 runs per game this season.
