Recap: Dutch Fork Silver Foxes vs. Chapin Eagles
The Dutch Fork Silver Foxes won the last time they faced the Chapin Eagles, and things went their way on Tuesday too. Dutch Fork walked away with a 48-37 win over Chapin. Given Dutch Fork's advantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 16th, while Chapin is ranked 79th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Michaela Fairwell was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 19 points and ten steals. She has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last four times she's played. Another player making a difference was Antoinet Cheeseboro, who scored five points along with seven steals.
Dutch Fork is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 16-3 record this season. As for Chapin, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-7.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Dutch Fork will take on River Bluff at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. River Bluff is coming into the matchup on a five-game losing streak. As for Chapin, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against White Knoll at 6:00 p.m.
