Baseball Game Preview: Oak Ridge Wildcats vs. Science Hill Hilltoppers

Oak Ridge has won three straight games at home, while Science Hill has won three straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Wednesday. The Wildcats will host the Hilltoppers. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Oak Ridge 2.5, Science Hill 3.2) so any runs scored will be well earned.

On Saturday, Oak Ridge made easy work of Maryville and carried off an 11-2 win. Considering the Wildcats have won 17 matches by more than seven runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

Meanwhile, Science Hill had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They never let Jefferson County get on the board and left with a 5-0 victory on Saturday. The win continues a trend for the Hilltoppers in their matchups with the Patriots: they've now won five in a row.

Oak Ridge's victory bumped their record up to 32-6. As for Science Hill, their win bumped their record up to 31-12.
