Basketball Game Preview: Trinity Leadership Tigers vs. Village Tech Viper Squid

Trinity Leadership is 4-0 against Village Tech since January of 2023 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Trinity Leadership Tigers will be playing at home against the Village Tech Viper Squid at 7:00 p.m. The timing is sure in Trinity Leadership's favor as the squad sits on six straight wins at home while Village Tech has been banged up by six consecutive losses on the road dating back to last season.

Trinity Leadership is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They took their game on Tuesday with ease, bagging a 72-0 win over Inspired Vision. The Tigers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight matches by 22 points or more this season.

Trinity Leadership got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Emani Taylor out in front who posted 19 points. Those 19 points gave Taylor a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Ja'Lee Standley, who earned 16 points.

Meanwhile, Village Tech was beaten by Young Women's Leadership Academy 53-19 on Tuesday.

Trinity Leadership is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a massive bump to their 13-11 record this season. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 27.6 points per game. As for Village Tech, their loss dropped their record down to 0-11.

Everything went Trinity Leadership's way against Village Tech in their previous matchup back in December of 2024, as Trinity Leadership made off with a 40-18 win. Will Trinity Leadership repeat their success, or does Village Tech have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
