Volleyball Recap: Greeley West Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Greeley West lost against Fort Collins back in September and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Spartans fell just short of the Lambkins by a score of 3-2. The Spartans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Greeley West took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. The final score came out to 25-22, 24-26, 21-25, 25-19, 15-10.

Valeria Calzada paced Greeley West's offense, picking up six kills. Calzada got some help from Mya Salazar and her 29 assists. Calzada was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Greeley West's loss dropped their record down to 2-17. As for Fort Collins, their win ended a five-match drought at home and bumped them up to 4-13.

Greeley West wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against Loveland on the 17th. As for Fort Collins, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 loss against Resurrection Christian on the 15th.
