Basketball Recap: Spooner Starts Season with Victory at Home

Spooner took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Thursday. They put the hurt on the South Shore Cardinals with a sharp 52-29 win. For the Rails, this counts as revenge for the 39-36 victory the Cardinals walked away with the last time they faced one another back in November of 2024.

Looking ahead, Spooner will head out on the road to challenge Shell Lake at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for South Shore, they will square off against Flambeau at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
