Basketball Game Preview: River Ridge Royal Knights vs. Mundy's Mill Tigers

Two dominant guards in Jacob Yeager and Ryan Babb are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The River Ridge Royal Knights will take on the Mundy's Mill Tigers in a tournament on Monday. River Ridge knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past six matches -- so hopefully Mundy's Mill likes a good challenge.

River Ridge is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They came out on top against Morristown-Hamblen East by a score of 116-108 on Saturday. The win was all the more spectacular given the Royal Knights' disadvantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 456th in Florida, while the Hurricanes are ranked 214th in Tennessee).

Meanwhile, Mundy's Mill came up short against Rogers Heritage on Saturday and fell 56-48. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Mundy's Mill's loss dropped their record down to 8-5. As for River Ridge, they now have a winning record of 7-6.
