It may have taken  eight innings to finish the job, but Littlestown ultimately got the result they hoped for  on Monday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with  a  2-1  win over the Hanover Nighthawks. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won  3-2  back in March.
 Littlestown saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Mason Peart, who  went 1-for-3 with one  double and one  RBI. That  double marked the first that  Peart  hit this season.  Lucas Bacher was another,  scoring a  run and  stealing a base while going 1-for-3.
Littlestown pushed their record up to 4-5-1 with the  victory, which was their third straight  on the road. The  road  wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 7.7 runs over those games. As for Hanover,  this is the second loss in a row for them and  nudges their season record down to 3-6.
 Both  teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Littlestown will face off against Biglerville at 4:15  p.m.  on Wednesday. The Thunderbolts' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Canners have averaged an impressive 8.8  runs per game this season. As for Hanover, they will take on York Catholic at 4:15  p.m.  on Tuesday. The Nighthawks are facing the Fighting Irish at the right time seeing as the Fighting Irish are stuck on  a  four-game losing streak.
