Colony faced Juneau-Douglas in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Wednesday. The Knights blew past the Crimson Bears 8-2. The result was nothing new for the Knights, who have now won six matches by six runs or more so far this season.

Kaidence Browning made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run over six innings pitched. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing four bases while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances. Those four stolen bases gave her a new career-high.

In other batting news, Saibree Noll was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing three bases while going 1-for-3. Those three stolen bases gave her a new career-high.

Colony's win was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 8-0. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.9 runs on average this season. As for Juneau-Douglas, they now have a losing record of 3-4-1.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Crimson Bears beat Colony by a score of 8-4 later that day.
