Croatan extended their winning streak to three on Tuesday, bumping them up to 16-8. They put the hurt on the Swansboro Pirates with a sharp 3-0 win. This was a revenge game for the Cougars: when they faced off against the Pirates back in September, they had to take a 3-2 defeat.

As for Swansboro, with the loss, they broke their four-match winning streak and moved their record to 19-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat they have suffered against Croatan since September 12, 2023.

Swansboro's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Maddie Staley, who had five digs and two aces, and Aislinn Mandel, who had eight digs.

Croatan didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-1 victory against West Carteret on the 15th. Swansboro does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
