Basketball Recap: Ridgeway Skates Past Power Center Academy with Ease

Ridgeway won the last time they faced Power Center Academy and things went their way on Friday too. The Ridgeway Roadrunners claimed a resounding 81-51 victory over the Power Center Academy Knights. The Roadrunners have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six games by 23 points or more this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Ridgeway to victory, but perhaps none more so than Marjavis Chandler, who went 7 of 12 on his way to 19 points along with eight rebounds and four steals. Chandler has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last four times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jayden Williams, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 11 boards.

Ridgeway was working as a unit and finished the game with 21 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in January of 2024.

Ridgeway is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a massive bump to their 9-9 record this season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 27.3 points. As for Power Center Academy, with the defeat, they broke their six-game winning streak and moved their record to 9-4.

Ridgeway wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 75-48 win against Hamilton on the 31st. As for Power Center Academy, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 56-44 victory against Byers on the 25th.
