Football Recap: Western Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Victory

Western came tearing into Saturday's contest with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 25.7 points), and they left with even more momentum. They blew past the Bloomingdale Bulls 32-6. The result was nothing new for the Wildcats, who have now won five matchups by 20 points or more so far this season.

On the defensive side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Western's defense and their four sacks. The heavy lifting was done by Alana Placide and Katie Diaz, who racked up all four sacks between them. Diaz has been hot, having posted at least one sack the last six times she's played.

Western's victory bumped their record up to 7-3. As for Bloomingdale, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-3.

Western has already played their next game, an 18-0 win against Seminole Ridge on the 19th. Bloomingdale will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Riverview at 7:30 p.m. on March 27th.
