Soccer Game Preview: Cottonwood vs. Hillcrest

Cottonwood is on a three-game streak of home losses, and Hillcrest a three-game streak of away losses. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Friday. The Cottonwood Colts will host the Hillcrest Huskies at 3:30 p.m. Cottonwood has given up an average of 4.1 goals per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Cottonwood fell victim to Layton Christian Academy and their airtight defense on Tuesday. They came up short against the Eagles, falling 7-0. While losing is never fun, Cottonwood can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Utah soccer rankings (they are ranked 101st, while Layton Christian Academy are ranked 16th).

Meanwhile, Hillcrest didn't have quite enough to beat Park City on Thursday and fell 4-3. That's two games in a row now that Hillcrest have lost by just one goal.

They hit Park City with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Lucas Felix, William Rogers, and Bridger Healy.

Hillcrest's defeat dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Cottonwood, their loss dropped their record down to 1-9.
