The Flour Bluff Hornets will head out on the road to take on the Corpus Christi Veterans Memorial Eagles at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: both posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Flour Bluff is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They walked away with a 77-64 victory over Carroll on Friday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Hornets.

Meanwhile, Corpus Christi Veterans Memorial put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They took their matchup with ease, bagging a 101-60 win over Alice. The Eagles have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 17 games by 21 points or more this season.

Flour Bluff better focus on containing Billy White Iii and Sean Mondragon as the pair were huge in Corpus Christi Veterans Memorial's win. White Iii went 6 for 10 from beyond the arc on his way to 26 points and five blocks, while Mondragon went 8 of 13 on his way to 20 points in addition to seven rebounds and three steals. That's the most blocks White Iii has posted since back in December of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Cj Perry, who posted ten points along with five assists and three steals.

Flour Bluff has been performing well recently as they've won 12 of their last 16 contests, which provided a massive bump to their 15-13 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.4 points per game. As for Corpus Christi Veterans Memorial, they pushed their record up to 27-0 with the victory, which was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season.

Flour Bluff was taken down by Corpus Christi Veterans Memorial 93-43 in their previous meeting on Saturday. That matchup was all but decided by halftime, at which point Flour Bluff was down 48-15.
