Basketball Game Preview: Bloomfield Bombers vs. Midlakes Screaming Eagles

The Bloomfield Bombers will take on the Midlakes Screaming Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Bloomfield easily dispatched East Rochester on Saturday, but unfortunately both the margin and the ultimate result were a different story in this one. Bloomfield fell just short of Waterloo by a score of 67-64 on Wednesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Bombers have suffered since December 1, 2023.

Meanwhile, Midlakes lost to Penn Yan Academy at home by a 40-25 margin on Friday. The contest marked the Screaming Eagles' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Midlakes has traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season. As for Bloomfield, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-4.

Bloomfield might still be hurting after the 63-40 loss they got from Midlakes in their previous matchup back in December of 2016. That contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point Bloomfield was down 37-12.
