John Curtis Christian had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. Everything went their way against the Doyle Tigers on Thursday as they made off with a 3-0 victory. The win was nothing new for the Patriots as they're now sitting on five straight.

The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-6, 25-12.

Ina Smith paced John Curtis Christian's offense, picking up nine kills. Smith got some help from Alyzia Cola- Grayson and her 24 assists. Finally, Jania Bernard kept John Curtis Christian's defense grounded, leading the team with five blocks.

John Curtis Christian's victory bumped their record up to 30-12. As for Doyle, their loss dropped their record down to 23-9.

John Curtis Christian will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Tigers: the pair will be back at it again later today.
