Football Recap: Richwoods Falls Despite Big Games from Demarion Richardson and Micah Hunt + How To Watch

Richwoods had lost three straight at home, but on Friday they dropped down to 1-6-1 to make it four. They lost to the Danville Vikings at home by a 41-22 margin. Despite 120 more yards than the Vikings, the Knights couldn't convert that extra yardage to scores.

Micah Hunt and Demarion Richardson certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Hunt rushed for 98 yards and one score, while Richardson rushed for 83 yards and one TD.

As for Danville, they moved to 2-6 with that victory, which also ended their five-game losing streak. The high-scoring effort was just what they needed considering they were shut out in their previous matchup.

D'Mario Jackson was a one-man wrecking crew as he rushed for 114 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only five carries.

Richwoods and Danville could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Illinois Rankings. The Knights (ranked 400th) will meet Mahomet-Seymour (ranked 82nd) at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Danville will face off against Peoria Notre Dame at 7:00 p.m. on Friday with a big rank disadvantage (344 vs. 155).
