Football Recap: Chatfield Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Chatfield was the 22-21 winner over Arvada West when they last played one another back in October of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Chargers and the Wildcats were almost perfectly matched up on Friday, but the Chargers suffered a 28-27 loss. While losing is never fun, the Chargers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Colorado football rankings (they are ranked 43rd, while the Wildcats are ranked seventh).

Chatfield's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Cash Williams, who threw for 200 yards and a pair of TDs, and William (Roni) Rohlman, who picked up 77 receiving yards and two scores. Brigham Jones got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Arvada West had a senior duo take command as Caleb Gomez rushed for 81 yards and one touchdown and Logan Duhachek threw for 192 yards and one TD.

Chatfield now has a losing record of 4-5. As for Arvada West, the win keeps them at an undefeated 9-0.

Looking ahead, Chatfield will square off against Columbine at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Arvada West, they will challenge Ralston Valley at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Wildcats will need to watch out since the Mustangs have now posted at least 31 points in their last six matchups.
