Basketball Recap: Lamar Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Lamar can now relate to. They lost 73-47 to the Cypress Falls Eagles on Monday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Texans have suffered since December 6, 2024.

Despite the loss, Lamar still got an impressive performance from Phoenix Sneed, who dropped a double-double with 23 points and ten rebounds. Sneed has been hot for a while, having posted eight or more boards the last ten times she's played. Another player making a difference was Madison Tran, who posted six points.

Lamar's loss dropped their record down to 15-8. As for Cypress Falls, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 14 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 27-5 record this season.

Lamar does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Cypress Falls, they will square off against Cinco Ranch on Thursday. One thing working in Cinco Ranch's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last ten games.
