Kindred skates past Lisbon with ease

In what's become a running theme this season, the Kindred Vikings gave their fans yet another huge victory on Thursday. They really took it to Lisbon for the full four quarters, racking up a 67-36 victory on the road. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 43-16.

Lisbon's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kyra Haecherl, who scored eight points along with six rebounds and four blocks. Haecherl hasn't dropped below two steals for three straight games. Another player making a difference was Emerson Schultz, who scored ten points along with five rebounds and two steals.

The win makes it two in a row for Kindred and bumps their season record up to 8-3. As for Lisbon, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-9.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Kindred will take on Turtle Mountain at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in North Dakota (Turtle Mountain is ranked 39th, while Kindred is ranked 23rd). As for Lisbon, their homestand continues as they prepare to take on Ellendale at 12:45 p.m. on January 13th.
