Volleyball Recap: Estero's Win on Thursday Extends Winning Streak to Six

It's playoff time, and Estero had no trouble coming through when it counted. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Barron Collier Cougars on Thursday. Winning may never get old, but the Wildcats sure are getting used to it with their sixth in a row.

Estero walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the second set). The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-13, 25-19.

Brooke Smith paced Estero's offense, picking up 11 kills. Smith got some help from Delayna Kerry and her 29 assists. Smith was also solid from the service line: she led the team with six aces.

Estero's victory bumped their record up to 21-7. As for Barron Collier, they dropped their record down to 11-16 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road.

Estero didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-2 win against St. Brendan on the 22nd. Barron Collier does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
