Flag Football Recap: Harris County Piles Up the Points Against Alcovy

Harris County never let their opponents score on Monday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Alcovy 34-0. Given Harris County's advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia flag football rankings (they are ranked 16th, while Alcovy is ranked 106th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Madalynn Cauley was nothing short of spectacular: she threw for 210 yards and three touchdowns while completing 77.3% of her passes, and also punched in one score on the ground. She also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, making two total tackles and defending three passes in addition to snagging an interception. A healthy portion of Cauley's aerial production (81 yards to be exact) went to Pearson Pettit, who also brought in a receiving touchdown.

Harris County didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off five passes before the game was over. Kaydence Jenkins led the group effort, picking up two of those interceptions all by herself. Kyndle Robinson is also crushing it when it comes to defended passes: she's defended at least two every time she's taken the field this season.

Harris County now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Alcovy, their loss dropped their record down to 1-4-1.

Harris County wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 41-6 victory against Dutchtown on the 6th. As for Alcovy, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Rockdale County at 5:30 p.m. on the 22nd.
