Basketball Game Preview: Pewitt Brahmas vs. Rivercrest Rebels

The Pewitt Brahmas will take on the Rivercrest Rebels at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Pewitt is headed into the contest having just posted their closest win since December 17, 2024 on Tuesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Bowie, sneaking past 31-28.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Rivercrest). They blew past Detroit 69-21 on Tuesday. The victory was familiar territory for the Rebels who have now won three games in a row.

Rivercrest pushed their record up to 7-18 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.0 points per game. As for Pewitt, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 12-13 record this season.

Pewitt strolled past Rivercrest in their previous matchup back in December of 2023 by a score of 72-56. Does Pewitt have another victory up their sleeve, or will Rivercrest turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
