Basketball Recap: Klein Cain Hurricanes vs. Spring Lions
Klein Cain couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They fell just short of the Spring Lions by a score of 49-46 on Friday. The Hurricanes just can't catch a break and have now endured four losses in a row dating back to last season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Spring to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jessica Reese, who almost dropped a double-double on 12 points and nine rebounds. What's more, Reese also racked up three offensive rebounds, the most she's had since back in November of 2023. Gabby Salazar was another key player, posting 21 points in addition to five rebounds and two steals.
Klein Cain wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 57-44 defeat against Tompkins on the 5th. Spring has also already played their next match, a 61-41 loss against Bridgeland on the 5th.
