Chatham Central gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Friday. They enjoyed a cozy 37-22 win over the Ascend Leadership Aviators.

Among those leading the charge was Addison Goldston, who posted eight points and seven rebounds. Those eight points gave her a new career-high. Lizzy Murray was another key player, putting up ten points and three steals.

Chatham Central wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 67-17 victory against Central Carolina Academy on the 20th. As for Ascend Leadership, they have also already played their next contest, a 61-27 defeat against Hoke County on the 17th.
