Soccer Recap: Independence Comes Up Short

Independence was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Liberty Redhawks. While losing is never fun, the Knights can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 458th, while the Redhawks are ranked 194th).

Independence's defeat dropped their record down to 3-12. As for Liberty, they now have a winning record of 8-7.

Looking ahead, Independence will take on Frisco at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Liberty, they will look to defend their home pitch on Friday against Memorial at 7:00 p.m.
