St. Dominic faced Marquette in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Crusaders walked away with a 2-0 win over the Mustangs. That's more bragging rights for the Crusaders, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Charlie Lafata paced St. Dominic's offense, picking up six kills. Lafata really made an impact as he also led the team in assists with 13. Cooper Chamblee controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

St. Dominic has been performing well recently as they've won 14 of their last 17 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-7 record this season. As for Marquette, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 19-8.
