Soccer Recap: Minnetonka Comes Up Short in High-Profile Contest with Wayzata

Minnetonka faced Wayzata in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Wednesday. The Skippers fell just short of the Trojans by a score of 3-2. The loss was Minnetonka's first of the season.

Having lost for the first time this season, Minnetonka fell to 7-1-2. As for Wayzata, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups. That somehow still isn't as good as their 9-1-1 record this season.

Minnetonka will venture away from home to challenge Prior Lake at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Wayzata, they will host Mankato West at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
