Baseball Recap: Braddock Triumphs

Braddock won the last time they faced Hialeah Educational Academy and things went their way on Thursday too. The Bulldogs skirted past the Biggie 4-3.

Braddock got a great performance from Jesus Moreno as he tossed five innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off two hits. What's more, Moreno posted five strikeouts, the most he's had since back in March.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Marcelo Torres, who went 2-for-4 with one home run and three RBI. Adam Hernandez was another key player, scoring a run while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Braddock is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-6-1 record this season. As for Hialeah Educational Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-12.

Braddock does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Hialeah Educational Academy, they will challenge Westminster Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
