Soccer Game Preview: Colleton County vs. Hampton County

The Colleton County Cougars will venture away from home to challenge the Hampton County Hurricanes at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Colleton County will be strutting in after a victory while Hampton County will be coming in after a defeat.

Colleton County's defense heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 9-0 margin over Silver Bluff.

Meanwhile, Hampton County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. While the 1-1 score might suggest a draw, it was Battery Creek who was credited with the win. The Dolphins got it done in the shootout by posting three goals to Hampton County's zero.

Colleton County's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Hampton County, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-4.

Everything went Colleton County's way against Hampton County in their previous meeting back in April of 2025, as Colleton County made off with a 4-1 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Cougars since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
