Volleyball Recap: Genoa Christian Academy Takes a Loss

Genoa Christian Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to the Madison Christian Eagles. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against Madison Christian this season, with their most recent loss being a 3-0 defeat on Thursday.

The final score came out to 25-20, 25-10, 25-17.

Genoa Christian Academy's offense was headlined by Megan King and Reagan Schuck, who picked up four kills apiece. They got some help from Claire Mitchell and her 12 assists. Sofie Hess controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Genoa Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 3-15. As for Madison Christian, they are on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 14 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-4 record this season.

Genoa Christian Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Madison Christian, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-2 win against Fisher Catholic on the 15th.
