Soccer Recap: Topsail Takes a Loss

Topsail lost against Ashley back in September and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Pirates took a 5-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Screaming Eagle. Topsail have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

They hit Ashley with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Ryan Dollman, Jax Lawrence, and Trenton Williams.

Topsail's loss dropped their record down to 8-7-2. As for Ashley, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 11 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-2-3 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Topsail will square off against rival New Hanover at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Ashley is set to face off against their familiar foe Hoggard at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
