With a playoff win on the line, Peabody rose to the challenge on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Washington-Marion Charging Indians as they made off with a 64-42 victory. Given the Warhorses' advantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana basketball rankings (they are ranked ninth, while the Charging Indians are ranked 58th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

The win made it two in a row for Peabody and bumps their season record up to 25-4. As for Washington-Marion, they moved to 18-12 with that defeat, which also ended their nine-game winning streak.
