Fairfield has gone a perfect 7-0 against Middletown recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Indians will look to defend their home pitch against the Middies at 7:15 p.m. Middletown took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Fairfield, who comes in off a win.

Fairfield barely beat Milford the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Indians blew past the Eagles 5-2 on Saturday. Fairfield might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five matchups by three goals or more this season.

They hit Milford with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Leaha Compton (2), Sophia Nieman, Kendyl Byndum, and Isabella Huxsoll.

Meanwhile, Middletown fell victim to Sycamore and their airtight defense on Thursday. They lost 9-0 to the Aviators. While losing is never fun, Middletown can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio soccer rankings (they are ranked 327th, while Sycamore are ranked 77th).

Fairfield has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-2-2 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 21 goals over those four contests. As for Middletown, they now have a losing record of 5-6-1.

Fairfield took their victory against Middletown when the teams last played back in September of 2024 by a conclusive 11-0 score. Will the Indians repeat their success, or do the Middies have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
