Softball Recap: Mission Vista Comes Up Short

Mission Vista was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They lost 12-2 to the Rancho Buena Vista Longhorns.

Mission Vista saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Olivia Sullivan, who went 1-for-2 with one run. K Roderick also deserves some recognition as she scored her first run of the season.

Mission Vista's loss dropped their record down to 5-12. As for Rancho Buena Vista, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 12-8.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Mission Vista is set to challenge their familiar foe Carlsbad at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Rancho Buena Vista will square off against rival La Costa Canyon at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Longhorns 2.7, the Mavericks 1.9) so any runs scored will be well earned.
