Volleyball Recap: Spring Creek Takes a Loss

Spring Creek was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Dayton Dust Devils. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Dust Devils this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in September.

Spring Creek couldn't get the win, but they sure gave Dayton a tough time in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 30-28, 18-25, 21-25, 25-9, 15-9.

Spring Creek's defeat dropped their record down to 11-15. As for Dayton, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-8 record this season.

Spring Creek wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-0 loss against Fernley on the 18th. As for Dayton, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-2 victory against Elko on the 18th.
