Softball Recap: Covington Takes a Loss

Covington has relied on a stalwart pitchers averaging four runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Friday. They came up short against the Holden Rockets, falling 15-8. The loss was the Lions' first of the season.

Having lost for the first time this season, Covington fell to 5-1. As for Holden, the win got them back to even at 2-2.

The future could be bright for both Covington and Holden: their next opponents haven't had the best luck recently. Covington will try to hand Fontainebleau their third-straight loss when the two meet at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Similarly, Holden will look to extend Slidell's three-game losing streak when they meet at 10:00 a.m. on Monday.
