Baseball Game Preview: Robinson Knights vs. Hillsborough Terriers

The Robinson Knights will square off against the Hillsborough Terriers at 1:00 p.m. on Monday. Robinson hasn't scored more than a single run for three games straight, a trend the team is eager to reverse.

Robinson's usually-dominant pitching crew will be looking to make up for Saturday's struggle, when Steinbrenner hitters got past them. Robinson came up short against Steinbrenner on Saturday, falling 10-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Knights have suffered against the Warriors since March 12, 2018.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 12 runs the game before, Hillsborough was a bit more limited in their game on Saturday. They lost 11-1 to Cambridge Christian.

Hillsborough saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Oswald Font, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

Hillsborough has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-11 record this season. Robinson's loss dropped their record down to 6-6.

Robinson skirted past Hillsborough 3-1 in their previous meeting back in February. The rematch might be a little tougher for Robinson since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
