Baseball Game Preview: Tree of Life Christian Trojans vs. Wellington School Jaguars

The Tree of Life Christian Trojans will head out to square off against the Wellington School Jaguars at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Tree of Life Christian is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 10 runs per game this season.

Tree of Life Christian barely beat Shekinah Christian the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Trojans were the clear victors by an 11-1 margin over the Flames on Monday. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last six times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Jacob Brown was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he struck out 11 batters over six innings while giving up just one earned run off five hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going a perfect 3-for-3 with four RBI, one stolen base, and one run. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high.

In other batting news, Samuel Jackson was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April of 2024. Eli Vascura was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Tree of Life Christian always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .514. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

Meanwhile, Wellington School didn't have quite enough to beat Fairfield Christian Academy on Monday and fell 6-4. The loss was the Jaguars' first of the season.

Having lost for the first time this season, Wellington School fell to 3-1. As for Tree of Life Christian, their record now sits at 4-2.

Tree of Life Christian came up short against Wellington School in their previous matchup back in May of 2024, falling 5-0. Can the Trojans avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
