St. Anthony's is now one win from the title.
Rich Reichert won his 200th career game in 24 seasons as
St. Anthony's (Melville) defeated Fordham Prep 39-14 in the Catholic High School Football League Class AAA semifinals in South Huntington. Reichert, who is 200-48-3 overall, received a watch, a plaque, the game ball and a trip to the 12th consecutive championship game for the Friars, who have won eight of the last nine titles.
Quarterback
Charlie Raffa was 6 of 8 for 178 yards and three touchdowns, two to
Brian Kensil.
Brian Sherlock ran for 84 yards and two more scores.
"It's definitely a good feeling," Raffa told The New York Post. "We're one step away and it would be awesome to get that (title), especially for Coach Reichert. If we get it next week, it would just be a wonderful thing."

LONG ISLAND SEMIFINALS HIGHLIGHTS* Ryan Rielly's new nickname is "Shampoo Bottle." As in the instructions on the label: Lather, rinse, repeat.
The
John Glenn (Elwood) quarterback threw for four touchdowns and ran for two during a regular-season win against Mount Sinai. He repeated the feat Saturday for a 40-21 win in the Suffolk Division IV semifinals.
His total offensive output for the two games was 938 yards, including 209 through the air and 223 on the ground on 29 carries in the rematch.
* In Suffolk Division II,
Travis Houpe scored three touchdowns — including a 95-yard return of the opening kickoff — as
Bellport (Brookhaven) topped Newfield 30-15. Houpe has nine touchdowns in his last three games.

Dalton Crossan (159 rushing yards) carried for touchdowns covering 55, 44, 23 and 11 yards as
Sachem North (Lake Ronkonkoma) beat Northport 42-21.
Jesse Scanna recovered a fumble on the first play from scrimmage in the second half, and Crossan took a sweep down the sideline for a 23-yard touchdown run and a 28-7 lead.

East Islip (Islip Terrace) defeated West Babylon 34-13 as Kevin Hutchinson had a hand in all the scoring. He ran for a touchdown, threw for three during an 11-for-14 performance with 165 yards, and kicked field goals of 35 and 36 yards. He also ran for 165 yards on 18 carries.
* In Nassau Conference IV,
Roosevelt running back
Donte Collier broke off a 75-yard scoring run late in the third quarter of a 48-14 win against East Rockaway. He finished with 20 carries for 262 yards and four touchdowns.
* Travis Lock piled up 250 yards rushing and five touchdowns to carry
Lynbrook past Plainedge 54-20 in the Section 8 Conference III semifinals. The Owls finished with 308 first-half rushing yards and 379 for the night. Lock ran 12 times for 193 yards and three touchdowns in the first half.
